Section 1: Understanding your customer and the market
Section 2: Your vegan marketing toolbox
Section 3: Creating and carrying out your marketing plan

What we’ve learnt so far

Wow – we’ve come a long way in such a short time haven’t we?  By now, if I’ve done my job, you should:

  • Have knowledge of the full vegan marketplace and how your product or service fits in it.
  • Understand how your product connects with someone depending on where they are on their vegan journey.
  • Know that having a remarkable business is essential, and makes your product or service far easier to sell.
  • Have researched your customers, understand them like the back of your hand and hopefully made a some of them your friends along the way.
  • Have your customer profiles mapped out and understand the key people you are selling to.
  • Have defined the value proposition that each of your customers are going to connect with.
  • Have a kick-ass vegan brand.
  • Understand how to connect and communicate with customers and nurture them into future sales.
  • Know how to map out a content strategy.
  • Be able to present what you do concisely in 30 seconds.
  • Understand social media and have worked out which channels will work for you.
  • Know that people buy from people not companies, and they buy the most readily from the people they like and respect.
  • Know that working with magazines, newspapers and influencers isn’t just for big businesses – it’s for you too.
  • Have a notebook full of ideas.  Some of these ideas you might have already done something with.
  • Be filled with an almost uncontrollable urge of enthusiasm to get out there and start putting your business in front of the world!!!

I bet you didn’t realise just how much we’ve learnt over the previous chapters.  You should now be a lot more confident about your product, why people are going to want to give you money for it and how you can get your message out there.  It’s great to have all this new knowledge, but what the heck are we going do with it?  We’re going to pull everything together to create your kick-ass marketing plan, that’s what.

If you skipped any of the exercises during previous chapters, then now is the time to go back and complete them – because now we’re going to need all the hard work that you’ve done on them to build your marketing plan.
